VGMA SAGA BETWEEN STONEBOWY AND SHATTA WALE

Following their unreasonable stage scuffle a court presided over by Magistrate Isaac Addo granted the two bail at a cost of GHc 50,000 each. However, the court also charged both artistes Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale with charges over their stage brawl which scared Ghanaian and music lover during the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. A former prostitute has narrated a story of how she had to survive by sleeping with men for over a year. According to the lady, since she had nothing to live on, she had to sleep with about 600 different men in a year. Chris Attoh’s wife shot dead in Maryland, USA Chris Attoh and his second wife Bettie Jennifer The wife of Ghanaian actor Chris Attoh has been shot dead while leaving her office in Maryland in the United States of America. She was shot in the head by the gunman on Friday evening around 5pm and was pronounced dead when police arrived at the scene of the crime. Bettie Jenifer, according to the report left the office in the 6300 block of Ivy Lane and was walking to her car when a man armed with a handgun approached her. When she tried to run away, the man followed her and fired at her multiple times, with at least one shot hitting her. The gunman then fled in a vehicle and is still wanted by the Maryland Police. US House panel holds Attorney General in contempt over Mueller report US Attorney General, William Barr A US House of Representatives panel has voted to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress for not releasing an unredacted copy of the report on Russian election meddling. The judiciary committee took the rare step as tensions rose over Special Counsel Robert Mueller's findings. Earlier, President Donald Trump used his executive privilege for the first time to block the report's disclosure. The White House and Congress accused each other of abusing power. Mr Mueller's report did not conclude that there was a criminal conspiracy between Moscow and the Trump campaign to influence the 2016 US presidential election. 6 teens beat headmaster to death File photo For mercilessly beating the headmaster of Salvation Army Basic School at Asiakwa, resulting in his death, four young men have been remanded in police custody by the Kibi District Magistrate Court to reappear on May 14, 2019.  George Somuah Bosompem died at the St Joseph’s Hospital, Koforidua, in the Eastern Region where he was rushed to after he had been allegedly assaulted by six young men, two of whom are currently on the run.  The four, Rihcard Anani, 18, Emmanuel Mireku, 18, Philip Okodie, 18, and Paul Boadu, 19, were remanded and they are to help the Eastern Regional Police Command to apprehend the tow on the run.  All four were charged with conspiracy to commit murder and murder at Asiakwa at the court’s sitting on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, presided over by Mrs Alice Efua Yirenkyi.  Following Bosompem’s death, the police were able to arrest the four who were at the court on Tuesday.  Assault Accordin...

Secret training of militia in Volta Region uncovered - Police 80-year-old leader of the group, Papavi Hogbedetor being escorted The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the arrest of the Chairman of the Homeland Study Group Foundation (HSGF), Papavi Hogbedetor and his accomplices championing the independence of the Volta Region. Two Ghanaians arrested in U.S. over stolen car dealings Rex Agumey and Henry Sencherey have been charged with receiving stolen property and conspiracy Two Ghanaians have been arrested in Middletown, Connecticut in America for running a stolen luxury car ring.  39-year-old Henry Sencherey and 49-year-old Rex Agumey who operated from a garage on West Lake Street have been charged for receiving stolen property and conspiracy.  Police began investigating the garage last month after they got hint it was being used to ship stolen cars overseas.  After obtaining a search warrant, the police searched the garage and seized stolen cars which they believed were going to be shipped to Ghana.  Among the cars seized during the search were a Maserati, an Audi and a BMW stolen from New Jersey and Illinois. US Fed defies Trump and holds interest rates President Donald Trump The US Federal Reserve has kept interest rates on hold despite pressure from President Donald Trump to announce a cut.  The central bank said borrowing costs will remain at between 2.25%-2.5%.  The Fed made the decision despite Mr Trump tweeting on Tuesday that it should reduce rates by 1% to help the US economy "go up like a rocket".  The Fed indicated earlier this year that it would not change rates for the rest of 2019.  In his latest attack on the Fed, Mr Trump criticised the central bank for "incessantly" raising rates.
